Meet Your Instructor
I’m Laurie Foley and I am an online business coach with a thriving practice that specializes in branding.
I got off to a rough start with my own blog – I wanted it to work but I felt clueless and unsatisfied for months and months. Then I read in the New York Times that 95% of blogs are abandoned withing 4 months, and I knew I wasn’t the only one who had been struggling to sustain a creative and helpful blog.
I spent a solid year (and a lot of money!) studying blogging to learn how to create a blog that is easy to sustain and helps you achieve more in your business as a coach or consultant. I put what I learned into practice and was awarded one of the “Top Ten Coaching Blogs” from the School of Coaching Mastery in 2009 and 2010 for my blog at lauriefoley.com.
My Six-Step System for Better Blogging
We’ve all heard “content is king” for developing a thriving tribe. It is more valuable in the long run than tricky search engine manipulations for being found online.
If Content is king, then Craft is the queen.
I know from working with struggling bloggers that you’ve got great ideas for content. So why are you having a hard time sustaining your blog and why aren’t you getting found? Because you are too focused on the content and not the craft.
Of course, you need great content – but you already have that in you and around you every day. This class gives you the essential tools of the blogging craft to elevate your content, like writing for a clear audience, creating messages that resonate, telling a story that moves people, and building trust with your audience.
After years of fine-tuning a writing strategy for myself, I’ve arrived at my six-step Blog More, Stress Less system. In less than two months, I can teach you blogging habits that will develop your writing skills and transform your blog from random musings into an effective marketing engine.

Why this course stands out
What’s the formula for a stand-out blogging course?
Interaction + Accountability

|
|
Personal interaction every week
Lots of people will teach you how to blog but never engage with you personally. I take it one huge step further: I review every post you write during the class and give you personal feedback.
Also, each weekly call allows time to ask questions and get answers to your blog writing questions. No questions? Listen in on your classmates’ questions and hear my solutions to issues and problems you hadn’t (yet) imagined.
You’ll get plenty of feedback from other participants, too. Unlike other blogging forums with dozens, or even hundreds of bloggers, there will be no more than 20 students in this course, so that I, and you, can connect with everyone.
Weekly assignments keep you accountable
We’ll have weekly check-ins on a private forum where I’ll ask you to post or link to your finished writing exercise for the week.
The forum is a safe space for you to gain confidence while you hone your blogging craft. We’ll look for what is helping you connect with others in your writing and we’ll also look for how you can tighten your writing to work for the unique environment of blogging.
This level of accountability is the only way I know to truly help you get where you want to be with your blog. It’s essential that you commit to writing once a week during the class. Just six posts. That’s it.
Need to miss a class?
Every class will be recorded and you can listen at your convenience online or by downloading the mp3. You don’t have to be present on every, or any, of the class calls, but it is still important to submit your writing each week for review.
It’s true: You won’t get the full benefit of the class if you don’t complete and share your weekly writing exercises. Please don’t sign up if you can’t commit to writing. I don’t want you to waste your money.
But if you are willing to write and share just six posts, I will help you gain a level of confidence and mastery that you have never felt before for your writing. It’s my promise. Or I’ll refund 100% of your tuition.
What You Get
My goal is to help you see results quickly, it’s the best way I know to make learning fun. Here’s what I’m offering to help you experience more ease in writing for your blog and, ultimately, in your marketing:
Proven methods for writing posts that catch and hold attention – it’s not just about the headline!
A crystal-clear intention that will guide your blogging and invigorate it, too.

Are you ready to become a better a blogger?
Here’s what works: learn the never-fail techniques and develop steady habits so that your blog will be a powerful reflection of who you are and what you provide.
Sick of selling yourself?
Your blog can do the selling for you! I don’t ever have to sell. Clients constantly tell me that they hired me because they liked what they read on my blog. They know how I think and work because I show up authentically online.
When your blog reflects well on you, it’s more likely that someone will give your services a chance. How do you think a new reader would see you and your business based on your recent blog posts?
- Would they trust you to be an expert?
- Would they feel like they know the real you?
- Would they trust you to keep your word?
- Would they be eager to pay your fees?
Don’t neglect your blog when it can be your most powerful marketing tool. Develop the writing skills you need to attract (and keep!) the attention of the people you want to reach online.
Don’t have a blog yet?
Then you are extra-smart for wanting to learn the skills that will support your blog before you launch it. If you practice your blogging in the safe haven of the private forum for class members, you’ll be much less likely to neglect your blog later because you’ll have tools and habits that will help you blog with ease.
Previous Blog More students have used their class practice posts to start their blogs with fresh, powerful content from day one.
Have a blog, but no longer enjoy writing for it?
Most of us start a blog with great ambition to share our passion with the world. But after a few months, we start posting less frequently, eventually we often just stop posting altogether, and then we feel like crap about it.
Some simple writing techniques may just what you need to climb out of your writing slump and be at your best on your blog. Constructive comments from your classmates and my personal feedback can polish your writing and boost your confidence. Wouldn’t it be great to look forward to writing for your blog again?
Follow my six-step system to jump start your stalled-out blog…you’ll never face writer’s block again.
You don’t have to struggle with your blog.
Blog More Stress Less Alumni Are Saying…
“…streamlines the noise of blog writing…”
Lisa Dewey Wells, Teacher and Writer, Wonder of Children
www.wonderofchildren.wordpress.com

Laurie’s a gifted teacher who streamlines the noise of blog writing that can easily rob you of time so that you can do the real work of writing and moving a business forward. Her keen insights help you reflect on your purpose and message, which means tighter more targeted writing for your audience.
Best of all, Laurie’s sense of humor, experience in the field, passion for life, and desire to stay true to her work (and yours) are inspirational!
“…the best thing I could have done to prepare myself…”
Shana Montesol Johnson, Executive/Career Coach
www.developmentcrossroads.com

I took Laurie Foley’s Blog More, Stress Less class when my blog was just a glimmer in my eye – no web site, no name, not even a free WordPress account. Taking this class was the best thing I could have done to prepare myself to become a successful blogger. I gained practical knowledge about the craft of writing for a blog (different from other forms of writing), ideas on how to stay motivated and consistent, and invaluable feedback on blog posts I wrote.
The class recordings and materials were clear and helpful so that I felt like a full participant even though I could not attend the class “live” since I am based in the Philippines and the class took place in the middle of the night for me.
I came away from the class armed with a series of posts ready to go, and with the confidence that I could actually launch – and maintain – a successful blog in support of my coaching business.
“…Laurie is a content guru!”

Dana Frost, Master Life Coach
www.danafrost.com
Working with Laurie in Blog More, Stress Less increased my confidence in my writing skills. Laurie is a content guru! She taught me how to identify and create engaging content. Blog More, Stress Less provided me with the necessary framework to execute and maintain a professional blog.
“…I don’t consider myself a writer…Now I blog every week…”
Sue Kasson, Stress Management Specialist
www.loseyourstressnow.com

I don’t consider myself a writer. I had never blogged before. But I liked the name of the class – less stress is always good! And I had been coached by Laurie previously so I was confident in her as a great coach. I decided to go for it and haven’t looked back since!
The class is SO instructive and helpful. Now I blog every week and have even gotten a guest blogging post! Who would have thought? I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to develop a web presence.
“…even old dogs can use some new tricks!”
Crys Williams, Online Business Specialist
www.bigbrightbulb.com

Before I took Laurie’s class I’d been blogging for over two years with inconsistent results. Sometimes I’d write a great post that got lots of comments and retweets, other times a post would fall flat and I’d get crickets. With the storytelling techniques I learned in Blog More, Stress Less, I began knocking them out of the park week after week. One of my most popular blog posts ever was written during this course.
And no more struggling to write a decent post. There were times I would labor over an article for 4 or 5 hours…all to end up with a rambling monstrosity that still failed to get my point across. Now I focus my ideas using the 8-minute method and consistently write engaging posts in just over 2 hours.
This is a great class and I recommend it for experienced bloggers who need a refreshing jumpstart…even old dogs can use some new tricks!
“I never believed I would blog and have fun doing it.”
Melani Marx, Life Coach and Advanced Energy Master
www.melanimarx.com

Blog More, Stress Less is the perfect name for this class. I never believed I would be able to blog and have fun doing it. When I started the class I knew NOTHING! Laurie and her class helped me start (the very hardest part for me) and keep going.
Also, the class is content-packed. I keep the materials from the class in a notebook and continue to review them. Best of all Laurie is a delight and her teaching style is clear and ever so engaging. I call Laurie the “Queen of Blogging.”
“…focus on one element of blogging at a time…”
Julie Tennis
www.julietennis.com

Are you thinking of starting your own blog? Don’t know where to start? Wondering if you’re going to be able to keep coming up with ideas to write about every week? Curious how to write so people are interested in what you have to say? I was in your shoes and was fortunate to discover Laurie Foley and her Blog More, Stress Less course.
I’d been dreaming about starting my own business for some time and felt that blogging on a regular basis would help me develop a relationship with my audience. But I had a lot of fears about starting. Laurie’s step-by-step process allowed me to focus on one element of blogging at a time, rather than being overwhelmed by the whole.
Her three-part approach to each lesson helped to deepen my understanding of each concept by coming at it from different angles. And all throughout the course, Laurie added value by providing tools and references that built on the material she covered on the calls. If you’re just getting started with blogging, Blog More, Stress Less will give you a firm foundation of confidence and technique on which to build your blog. If you’re already in business, this course will give you a launching pad from which to fly!

Got Questions?
Here are a few questions that are often asked—
Q: Is it just hype that you filled your practice with your blog?
A: As a Fact Finder myself, I love this question. My blog is the centerpiece of my marketing strategy. It’s the thing that I have a consistent commitment to and it energizes me to write it. I deeply believe in creating generous resources for the clients that you want to reach and then finding the channels to share those resources with the world, whether it’s social media, enthusiastic conversations, free calls, etc. Blogging into the void isn’t enough but as you become a more confident blogger, you’ll look forward to sharing your results. If you think writing could be one of your superpowers and you don’t want to fumble with finding the strategies for an effective business blog, you can feast on this class.
Q: The time that the class is offered doesn’t work for me. Can I succeed in the class if I can’t make the live calls?
A: Past participants from time zones that were completely incompatible with the class have made remarkable progress. Others who had work conflicts with the timing also rocked their blogs. The trick is to commit the best that you can. If you can’t make the live calls, commit to the recordings every week. I post them quickly and you’ll have a notes summary as a PDF. The private forum has a lively Q&A section that is frequently used by those who can’t make the live calls. The REAL JUICE of this class is the actual writing that you do and the personal feedback. Some of the best questions get asked by those who haven’t been able to be on every call.
Q: Laurie, do you really give personal feedback on every homework post?
A: Ab-so-lutely. That’s why I keep the class size small, and I clear other chunks of my schedule while I’m offering Blog More, Stress Less. You’re making a strong commitment. I am, too, including my money-back guarantee.
